I-75/475 interchange nearly finished

Toledo News Now reports that "Northwest Ohio drivers can rejoice: Construction along the Interstate 75/Interstate 475 interchange in Toledo is nearing its end.

"ODOT has a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for Wednesday morning to celebrate 'substantial completion' of the project. At night, the ProMedica Parkway bridge over I-475 will open.

'Started in the summer of 2010 and originally expected to be completed by the end of 2013, ODOT now estimates work to be finished by June 2014 - weather permitting. The project costs approximately $63.9 million, and made drivers deal with intermittent lane restrictions, ramp closures and bridge work. Traffic in the Glass City became unpredictable and frustrating, forcing drivers to simply avoid the massive construction zone altogether.'
